About Me

Ben Herrera is a singer, songwriter, and actor whose work is rooted in honest storytelling and emotionally driven performance.

While living in Westport, Connecticut, Ben developed his voice on stage with Staples Players, where years of performing helped shape both his confidence and his approach to connecting with an audience. He is now studying at the University of Southern California, continuing to develop his craft as both an actor and songwriter.

Songwriting became an especially important creative outlet following a severe concussion in 2022. What began as a way to process a difficult period quickly developed into a deeper commitment to writing and recording original music. Since then, Ben has built a growing catalog of songs centered on relationships, heartbreak, hope, and the complicated emotions that sit somewhere in between.

His music blends contemporary pop songwriting with organic instrumentation and expressive vocals, drawing inspiration from artists such as Lewis Capaldi and Niall Horan while continuing to develop a sound that is distinctly his own. 

Ben continues to self produce his releases, shaping each song from its earliest idea through the recording process. His vocals are recorded at Lounge Studios in New York City with engineer Adam Clark, with mixing and mastering by Grammy Award winning engineer Mikaelin “Blue” BlueSpruce.

Whether performing on stage, acting, or writing music, Ben is most interested in telling stories that feel personal, immediate, and real. As he continues releasing new music and expanding his work as a performer, that connection remains at the center of everything he creates.
